Current Loves of my Life
Anime:
- Gintama - been watching it on and off. It's just been such a pick me up but with no really long running storyline so it's been hard for me to keep watching episode by episode. Been having lots of feels lately about it though because it's just been a really good run of episodes. Can't wait to start reading the manga too.
Manga:
- One Piece - I'm becoming quite the One Piece trash for quite some time now. One of the only mangas that I make a point to read everyweek and I check the fanfiction.net page for it pretty often so that's when you know I'm in too deep
- Chihayafuru - where do I start with this utterly brilliant underrated series? Whether its the fantastic world of karuta that is very immersive and beautifully depicted or the subtle nuances of and startling insight regarding competitive respect, inter-generational legacy, and the growth and the maturity arising from passion and experience or (even especially) formative female characters and the fantastic positive relationships between them, Chihayafuru is a gem and lends a unique and mature voice in the sports genre.
- Kubera (webtoon): now that Leez is stepping closer and closer to her destiny as a fallen tragic badass, the more I'm excited for more even as I get even sadder as characters see themselves and their love ones fall all around them because this can only end in tragedy. I still don't hate Asha.
Books:
- only been reading non-fiction and, soon, textbooks lately. Still enjoying my Simplicity book and Feynman's autobiography is just wicked fun. Feynman is a gift and a riot.
- Fiction (want to read)
- Discworld
- The Dark Materials
- Young Wizards
